The
Netherland`s "Flagship" Airline
is
KLM,
this airline, or its local affiliate, e.g. Northwest
Airlines, are the best bet for a direct flight to
Amsterdam.
However,
also check on cost of indirect flights, e.g via
London,
which has very good, and very cheap, connections to
Amsterdam. Prices are now considerably cheaper at
all
times following
Sept 11 and the slump in Air travel,
you
could save significant money, particularly if you book your
flights online.
If
you plan to travel this way, then be sure to read all the
following "UK" travel pages for a lot of useful
information.
Visitors
from
Australia, European Union, New Zealand and USA
staying
in the Netherlands less
than 3 Months need
only a Passport, valid
for at least 6 months
after departing
from
Netherlands
All other
countries:
Check locally with Netherlands Embassy/Consulate for visa
requirements.
Always
take adequate Travel Insurance with you.
(Shop
around for this, in the UK, travel insurance is very
expensive if bought from a Travel Agent, e.g.
£160
for
a family of four for one
week against
£65
for
a
whole year from
an Insurance Broker !)
