One
is located at Spui (Platform) 2 of Central station and opens
0800 - 20.00hrs (Sunday 0900 - 17.00hrs ), 52 weeks of the
year.
Central
Station is a crime "hotspot" : Remain alert and take good
care of your luggage here.
The
other is located across the tramtracks and to the left from
the station main entrance, by some trees, and opens 0900 -
17.00 hrs April
to December only. (This
one tends to be less busy than the one in the station I am
told.)
Get
to the VVV as soon as possible upon arrival, all the
good, less expensive and convenient accom goes very
quickly.
You
MUST
confirm the room within
the time specified by the VVV
by checking into the hotel or lose the room and the fee you
paid the "VVV".
The
VVV`s
are
usually very busy all day, often with long queues,
but
it is much quicker than finding something
yourself.
Ignore
any accommodation touts on station forecourt, or pay dearly
in cost, quality and location.
N.B:
Reminder
to UK travellers: If you travel from London between March -
September and take the 0900 hrs Eurolines coach, ( arrive
Amsterdam at 20.45 hrs ),
you MUST book accommodation in advance or have great
difficulty finding any Budget or Mid-price places for the
night - VVV`s will be closed.
