Unusually, Nes-Cafe opens in the evenings, being primarily a Pool-Bar. Discovered this one some years ago and it has become a firm favourite - and I don`t play Pool ! I always visit when in town. Now becoming very popular with other Coffeeshop Tourists. For those of you staying at the Rho hotel, it is just next door ! T` Nes-Cafe is a lively Coffeeshop/ Pool-Bar used by locals and tourists alike and is one of a few Coffeeshop-Poolbars in Amsterdam. The owner plays at quite a high level in the North Holland League, so the table is a top quality one, which is used regularly for cash prize in-house competitions etc. Normal games cost € 0.50. - which is cheap. Opening times are: 5PM - 1 AM Tues,Wed, Thur & Sun. 5PM - 3AM Fri & Sat
Serves Alcohol as well as decent coffee. T`Nes-Cafe also has a 5 * menu of both weed & hashes at fair prices and has pipes etc for customers use. Now has free internet access for customers ! Very friendly staff who are happy to advise on "smoking" Amsterdam and the nightlife.
Getting There From the Dam: face the Krasnapolsky Hotel - "Nes" is that small street across Damstraat, (the busy street on your right) with the (expensive) Money change business on the corner.

entrance is wide and flat and there is space for a
wheelchair user to sit round a table. The owner told me that
wheelchair users often use the easily accessible pool
table.
